Event Overview

The Berkeley Space Symposium 2024, was the largest undergraduate aerospace event at UC Berkeley. The event was endorsed by UC Berkeley’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. Our career fair provided a unique opportunity for attendees to engage directly with representatives from prominent aerospace companies, research institutions, and startups.

Since 2022, this event has brought industry and academia together. We continued to build the Berkeley Aerospace Community through this symposium, and helped steer the aerospace industry toward a brighter and more innovative future.

A dynamic panel featuring Al Tadros, CTO of Redwire Space, Jessica Marquez, Human Systems Engineer at NASA Ames, and Darek DeFreece, Founder of the Berkeley Space Center. They explored how cutting-edge innovations and collaborations are building the infrastructure for a thriving space economy, and how Berkeley students can be part of this exciting future. The discussion was moderated by Abhishek Tripathi, Director of Mission Operations at Space Sciences Laboratory.

Companies and organizations engaged with students directly through their dedicated booths. This presented students with a great opportunity to connect with industry professionals, explore potential career paths, and learn about cutting-edge developments in the space sector.
